We are pleased to announce the launch of the Open Call #1 of the FORTIS project!
This initiative aims to fund innovative projects that enhance collaboration between humans and robots, increasing efficiency, safety, and productivity in industrial environments.
● Research and technology organizations (RTOs) and universities working on advancing the state-of-the-art technologies to assist in the understanding, coordination and adaptation of robots, and understanding and developing human behaviour analysis techniques.
● Mid-caps, small and medium companies (SMEs) and startups developing solutions for human and robot interaction.
● Up to €250.000 per project (and a maximum of €200 000 per partner). The FSTP will follow the same funding rate as the beneficiaries, as stated in 13-General Annexes of the HE Work Program 2023-2025, covering up to 100% of the total costs for non-profit organisations and 70% for SMEs and profit organisations.
● Technical support and access to a network of industry leaders.
● A 10 month support program for project implementation and validation.
As industries move towards smart manufacturing, the integration of human-robot collaboration is crucial to ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable production processes. FORTIS is committed to advancing next-generation HRI technologies by supporting external innovators with financial resources, technical expertise, and industry collaboration opportunities.
Through this Open Call, we seek to:
● Accelerate the adoption of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) innovations that can improve automation and human-robot synergy.
● Enable real-world validation of promising technologies in operational environments.
● Expand the ecosystem of robotics research and industrial applications by engaging new partners beyond the FORTIS consortium.
Selected projects will receive direct funding and structured guidance to refine their solutions and facilitate market adoption.
Open Call #1 offers up to €250,000 per project to support cutting-edge solutions that will enhance the future of intelligent manufacturing.
